Sneem is a charming village on the Ring of Kerry - one of the most scenic routes in Ireland. Perched on the edge of the MacGillycuddy's Reeks and Kenmare Bay, gentle sea breezes keep the air crisp and clean. A peaceful and romantic little village, Sneem offers unspoilt nature, fishing and a sheltered harbour at Oysterbed Pier.
Brightly painted houses, restaurants, pubs and art galleries line the streets. Sneem is a regular award-winner in the National Tidy Towns competition, and local pride is evident in well-tended homes, parks and walkways. In 2003, 'The Garden of the Senses' was completed - a serene walk down the banks of the Sneem Estuary. The Garden includes a bird island and a whole array of colours, fragrances and aromas.
Sneem offers 2 churches - St Michael's Catholic Church and a Church of Ireland.
